Sweetlips

 

Oriental sweetlips (Plectorhinchus orientalis) have black and white horizontal stripes with yellow lips and fins. The dorsal and anal fins and the tail are spotted. They can usually be found alone or in pairs and are nocturnal but can be seen drifting under overhangs during the day. (up to 85cm). Juveniles are dark brown with large white spots with a yellow edge. They are usually found alone, close to the reef swimming in a wriggling fashion. (between 4-8cm).
