Description

Yes, you can still intern abroad this summer! Get the experience you need to land your purpose-driven international dream job – from home.

Spend this summer analysing photos of baby sea turtles or scanning drone footage of tropical coral reefs. Alternatively, set up a fundraising campaign for a women’s empowerment organisation or teach English to social entrepreneurs.
GVI Virtual Internships include work experience with governments, NGOs and social enterprises in locations around the world, daily one-on-ones with an assigned mentor and weekly masterclasses delivered by local experts.

After successful completion you’ll have a final project to show employers, a professional recommendation from your mentor, hours of project-based experience, many new skills to add to your resume and a global network of peers and industry professionals. You’ll also be able to add several certificates from the University of Richmond and GVI to your resume.

Don’t let the current global reality stop you. Get started today and make a living out of something you’re truly passionate about.

These virtual internships are available to anyone 16 years old or older, in the following sustainable development fields:

  • Marine Conservation
  • Wildlife Conservation
  • Climate Crisis and Clean Energy
  • Social Economic Development
  • Education for Development
  • Global Public Health
  • Human Rights and Access to Justice
  • Environmental and Corporate Sustainability

These virtual internships are specifically designed to provide participants with valuable hands-on experience in an international setting, an enhanced skill set, an improved understanding of the industry, and personalised coaching from both supervisors and experts in the field.

All GVI Virtual Internships will run for a period of 1-8 weeks, and can be completed in a full-time (40h/week) or part-time (20h/week) capacity.
During each internship, participants engage with project work, Q&A sessions, and masterclasses led by a number of industry experts.
