Operation Wallacea is a network of academics from European and North American universities, who design and implement biodiversity and conservation management research programmes across 13 countries worldwide.
We are currently recruiting Divemasters for our research site on Silba Island, Croatia, with vacancies for 7 weeks between 20th June and 7th August.
The position will involve delivering the practical elements of an Adriatic Ecology course to school (age 16-18) and university students, including species identification work and marine survey techniques.
Applicants must be a PADI Divemaster in active teaching status (equivalent qualifications from other dive organisations may be accepted) and have experience in the field. A bachelor’s degree in biology or a related subject is preferred.
In return, successful applicants receive full accommodation and food on site, access to the research and educational programme taking place on site, as well as the potential to develop their roles within Opwall in future years and contribute towards long-term conservation efforts.
