Blue Ventures’ expeditions have paved the way for some of the world’s most ambitious community-led marine conservation initiatives and spawned models for conservation and community empowerment that have received global acclaim. Whilst international travel restrictions mean we can't yet return volunteers to our sites in Madagascar, Belize or Timor-Leste, we've been busy assessing all our options and we're now delighted to introduce you to our latest blue venture, Saltwater Britain.
This new and exciting mission-driven ocean adventure series is powered by Blue Ventures and launches this summer, taking you on an immersive journey through the treasure trove of life above and below UK waves. Each expedition will range from 4-7 days exploring the best of British marine wildlife and conservation learning.
Blending adventure with science, our trips offer unforgettable marine experiences that provide the chance to participate in ocean conservation in the UK. Those joining us will learn skills that will help them become guardians of our seas and 100% of the profits we make will support Blue Ventures conservation programmes that are both critical and urgent.
Partnering with local organisations around UK coastlines, Saltwater Britain participants will have the opportunity to meet and connect with the scientists and conservationists working on the ground to restore our marine ecosystems.
Our very first Saltwater Britain expedition will venture into Pembrokeshire and the wonders of the Celtic Deep (see more details below) and we are currently finalising 4 more expeditions for later this summer and into the autumn, taking us across each corner of the UK. If this new blue venture is of interest to you can sign up for further updates here.
