Join us on the 21st January, 10.30am – 4pm, for a fun filled day. Learn about the Chagos Archipelago and visit the Chagos reef tank at the London Zoo aquarium.

12.50pm – Dr David Jacoby, Institute of Zoology, Connecting Chagos: how movement and social networks inform shark conservation in BIOT

1.10pm – Pop-up stalls and Chagos reef tank visits

  • Talk with Nigel Wenban-Smith, the author of Chagos: A History
  • Dive deep amongst the Corals of Chagos with Professor Charles Sheppard

2.40pm – Dr Colin Clubbe, Kew Gardens, The plant life of the Chagos Islands

3.00pm – Dr Ronan Roche, Centre for Applied Marine Sciences, Bangor University, The secret life of Chagos corals
