Brighton Dolphin Project : Marine Experts Talks – Living Seas in Sussex

July 17, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Brighton Dolphin Project, a new initiative launched by the World Cetacean Alliance, aims to improve awareness about the importance of local marine ecosystems and species in the Brighton area. The project aims to achieve this through educational experiences and outreach events. This summer, we will be hosting a series of Marine Experts Talks, where people from different organisations will come to the Discovery Centre to discuss their pioneering work in marine conservation.

Our second series of talks will be all about Living Seas, led by the Sussex Wildlife Trust, which aims to see the seas around Sussex thriving with marine wildlife, and highlights the importance of Marine Protected Areas. They aim to do this through collecting data about animals and plants found in Sussex, which is achieved through citizen science projects, so that the public can actively get involved with the conservation of our local seas.

Sarah Ward, from the Sussex Wildlife Trust, will be attending to present a talk about the project and how you can get involved with the project.
